Soffit & Fascia

Like most exterior components, it’s important to understand the location and purpose of soffit and fascia. Fascia forms an end cap on your trusses or rafters and along eaves, and supports your gutters. Soffit is the area underneath the overhanging eaves and/or rakes. Soffit provides both an aesthetic and functional purpose. Functionally, it serves to close in the rafters while providing ventilation to the attic. Many different styles and materials are available in the marketplace to customize the look of your home or building.

Things To Consider:

  • Vented or Non-Vented

  • Length of overhangs may change the option you choose.

  • Historical Tongue and Groove

  • Do you have proper ventilation to ensure cooling in your attic during the hot summers of St. Louis?

  • Do you own an older home? Consider replacing the old, wood, tongue and groove soffit with a modern( wood grain look) soffit.

Material Types:

  • Wood

  • Aluminum

  • Vinyl

  • Composite (PVC)

  • Fiber Cement

Customer Testimonials

“We were so happy with the professionalism and results provided by University Roofing. Andrew and the entire staff worked with our insurance company and installed a beautiful new roof on time and in budget. They also made repairs to the roof, installed vents and kept us informed every step of the way. They provided constant and thorough communications and followed through on every expectation. Many thanks to Andrew Bennett and University Roofing.”

“Jessie and the crew at University Roofing & Construction were top notch! From the initial inspection to final billing everything was thoroughly reviewed and explained. The work was done without a flaw and prior to the deadline i was given. I had limited experience working with the insurance company and Jessie handled everything for me. I left for work and returned home that evening with a new roof, not to mention there was not a spec of trash or roofing material left in sight, it was like the crew was never there. I would highly recommend them and have made plans for them to complete another job later on this month.”
